On January 31, 1969, Community Connection was designated as a Community Action Agency (CAA), part of President Lyndon Johnson’s War on Poverty.

Today, more than 1,000 CAAs blanket the country and Community Connection’s work continues. Core community action programs include weatherization, energy assistance, housing assistance, and food banks but we are much more. We provide linkages and coordination to bring communities together, developing new services as community needs change.

Community Connection explores all opportunities and resources to achieve our goal of “Helping People, Changing Lives!”
